Day 7 - Home :-(

Well today is home day :-( We got up, packed and had a late breakfast. To fill out the afternoon before we got on the plane, we head for a bit more shopping and see X-Men: Final Stand again.

As Air Transat seemed to have zero leg room for me on the way out, we upgraded to club class on the way home - how posh! Unfortnately our small case was severely crushed on the way home, so we're doing a claim!

Day 6 - African Lion Safari

Today was a bit dull, so we decided to head to the "Arican Lion Safari" drive-thru park. The animals were all pretty sleepy, but we came up close to some lions, monkies, birds of prey and elephants. The park also put on a "Bird of Prey" and "Elephant Showcase" show.

Day 5 - Paramount Canada's Wonderland

The weather was much cooler today, so we did head to the theme park to catch some roller coasters. It was like a large Alton Towers, with a 20 acre water park thrown in, plus some 3D cartoon rides, including Spongebob Squarepants! Had a great day, although Barry felt slightly ill.

Day 4 - Rest & Medieval Knights

Today was even hotter at 87°F and very muggy, so we took it slow and after getting up late and having a cooked breakfast, went to see "Over the Hedge" movie. After that we headed back to Square One mall.

In the evening we had booked to go and see "Medieval Knights", which is similar to a show we saw in Vegas. We were supporting the "Blood Red Knight", and there was much cheering and booing in between eating our dinner with our hands!

Its been raining tonight, so hopefully will clear the air, so we can goto "Paramount Canadian Wonderland" theme park :-)

Day 3 - CN Tower

Today it was boiling 86°F and very humid, so we stayed near air conditioning and decided to go up the CN Tower, the world's tallest building. It stands 181 stories tall, or 553m, however we only paid to go 346m up, as Barry a bit afraid of heights! I had a sore throat today (too much Niagara swallowed yesterday I think), so had an ice cream at the top. More photos of our visit posted to printable pictures link on the right.

In the afternoon we popped to see Poseidon remake, which was actually very good!

Day 2 - Niagara Falls

We set our sat nav, set the car on cruise control and headed for Niagara Falls. It was 83°F today, so the air conditioning was also on max!

We headed for Niagara Heliport, as wanted to see the falls from the air. It was particularly impressive and you could see how massive the waterfalls really are. We then headed on round to besides the falls and were pleasantly cooled off by the spray. The "Maids of the Mist" boats were running, so we walked along the river, put on our blue pack-a-macks and headed into the mist!

On the way home we also managed to stop at one of the many malls we saw on route! And now we're just off for a bite to eat.

Day 1 - Shopping!

We had people buzzing our room at 8am this morning, as a car was blocking them in the car park, luckily we were up! We headed for Starbucks, as the shops don't open until noon here on Sunday.

As it was nearing noon we headed off via sat nav to Square One mall, which has over 360 shops! After a very long time walking around and not much bought, we headed back to The Eaton Centre for more shopping! Our legs are now very tired, and we're back home looking forward to a nice evening meal out.

We think we might goto Niagara Falls tomorrow, as the weather is forecast to get worse as the week goes on.

Arrived in Toronto!

Well here we are again, on holiday again! Just arrived in Toronto, guided skillfully by our Sat Nav lady! We've been down the main street to grab some cereal, bit to eat and alchohol! Now we're off to our room to have little quiet drinks party before we head to bed.

N.B. If you are in Canadian immigration in lane 16 with Matt stamping your passport, swap lanes! He took about 5 times longer than the other agents, and we were stuck in immigration for over an hour!
